Voice Solutions

Voice communication is mission critical to all businesses with any disruption likely to cause loss of business and loss of clients. A telephone PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is at the heart of your voice infrastructure, allowing employees to communicate internally and with the outside world. Most modern PBXs support call transfer, call forwarding, voicemail with remote access, multi-party conferencing, automated attendants, call barring and some more advanced features. Our consultants can talk you though the best-fit option to suit your business needs and budget.

PBX Benefits

  • Flexible and customisable configuration.
  • Feature rich with call forwarding, conferencing, voicemail, automated attendant and more.
  • Save costs on telephone line rental by sharing a few lines with several users.
  • Security – restrict numbers that employees can dial with call barring.
  • Ability to answer calls at a central point or automated attendant and transfer internally to staff.
  • Accounting – detailed cost reporting on all calls made.

Telephone Handsets

Most telephone handsets are either IP or digital. With IP telephones, voice calls are transmitted over your IP network, referred to as Voice over IP (VoIP). In most scenarios your voice and data run on a converged network. Ensuring the right network infrastructure is in place is crucial before deploying this technology. IP telephony offers some advantages over digital telephones including extension portability and the ability to extend services to employees in remote office branches over your existing network LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Telecoms Lines/Trunks

The type of telecoms line/trunk required for your PBX is largely dependent on the number of end users. Typically, two or more Basic Rate ISDN (BRI) lines can serve small offices. For larger offices a Fractional Rate ISDN (FRI) or Primary Rate ISDN (PRI) may be required. Many providers offer a VoIP service, which can result in significant call savings, depending on your call volume. We have experience dealing with a number of telecoms providers and will happily help you choose the most cost effective option based on your requirements. We also recommend diversity of telephone trunks with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for businesses for whom loss of telecoms means potential significant loss of revenue. We have dealt with many telecoms providers and can recommend the best fit solution. We can also organise entry cabling through our premises division.
